why make a will?

Do any of the following concern you?

  • A possible inheritance tax problem
  • Losing your house to pay for Long term care
  • Your wishes not being carried out
  • Your nearest and dearest having to sort out your affairs with no clear direction.
  • Your funeral wishes are not carried out.
  • Your spouse/partner and children are not properly provided for.
  • A former spouse/partner may benefit from your estate.
  • Your wish to donate to your favourite charity is not carried out.
  • There are family disputes after your death.
  • What happens to my pets?

If you answered 'yes' to any of the above statements then the only thing you can do is to make a Will. We all think that we are going to live forever and that making a Will is something we do when we are older. We live in a high powered world and some would have us believe a dangerous one. It therefore makes sense that we should be in control of our affairs not just during our lifetime, but afterwards as well. We plan our financial lives with advice on mortgages and investments yet we delay or put off the decision to make a Will until, in a lot of cases, it's too late.

Don't look upon it as a morbid exercise, look upon it as part of life's administration. Enter your details on our enquiry form and I'll contact you to discuss matters over the phone. There is no "hard sell" here. A Will is something that does not need selling, it is something every responsible person should have.

It's never too early to make a will, but quite often it's too late
